Most likely the serial number is buried in the paint on the left rear dropout and is in the Chicago format; two digit year, month letter code, and frame number made that month. My best guess is it is a late '84 or early '85. Look at the dropout and see if you can spot any indentations in the paint surface. Sometimes rubbing wax or polish on that area can enhance visibility. Beautiful bike and great price.

I figured about that date, from the component group, which appears original to the bike. I had forgotten how much fun this is to ride. Even the angriest of motorists seem to calm down a little when you're on a bright yellow bicycle.
