Do you visit your local tourist information place to pick up the local annual vacation guide and/or any other brochures etc. about tourist attractions in your area?
I have been doing that for years! I love doing long rides, and to me, it makes the ride so much more interesting if I cycle out to
something, rather than just cycling the same route all the time or just riding with no destination in mind. A fascinating thing about cycling out to various tourist attractions or points of interest is that many people who live in the cities where I have lived are not even aware that these places exist! By cycling around (rather than driving) and paying attention, I know more about some areas of the world than the people who have lived in the neighborhood all their lives do.
I just picked up some new brochures about a week ago ... and I'm looking forward to cycling out to these places as soon as the weather improves!!
