The last post would have been helpful two hours ago! Haha.

I used the Dave method of junk yard mechanical engineering to remove the bar ends, salvaged the stem fixing wedge bolt and threaded wedge. Lost the floating wedge to corrosion.

Bar is saved, bar ends mostly (need a bolt to replace stripped fixing one but the shifters are good if a bit rough. Dura Ace 7400 levers intact. Stem is a carcass but the alloy steerer mech is good.

And Dave gets his rider quality bars.
