My front wheel clipped the curb and I woke up suddenly with one arm and one leg each side of a street light pole. THUD.

I then fell backwards - got up - dusted myself down - got back on the bike and rode to work now very awake.

I was working as an apprentice chef and was on my way to do the breakfast shift at some unearthly hour.
