No problem with comfort for my short rides of 60-70 km. The new 28 mm tires better damper vibrations sometimes vs. 23mm, but it is not a big difference on the average quality (or not bad) roads I ride. Gears are marginally better optimized within my speed range for constant cadence on the new Rival axs vs. my old Force 22. The technical negatives I can measure are bulkier tires and 1-1.1 kg heavier bike (part of this being distributed to wheels: brake disks, more spokes, heavier tires).

Overall, a marginally better technical setup which leads to marginally lower performance in speed.
