I picked up an old Vitus beam frame with beam attached (Softride type) at a local bike swap. I only wanted the beam, but when I was removing it I was horrified with the head tube frame welding.

It does not look like it has been repainted, but I cannot believe this came out of a factory like this. Maybe the whole frame was repainted and new decals added after the botched weld job?

Were some Vitus frames this bad?
