What tires were you using? 3,000 miles isn't bad. What wheels did you order?
I have a Raleigh Prestige frame that I've been waiting for spring to build up (I have to wait because I'm using almost all the same parts from the bike I'm riding now), and I was wanting to get some new stuff (maybe wheels or a crankset) to put on there, but the brakes on my car broke down last weekend and now I won't have the money. Oh well.
I am using Michelin Pro Race tires that are showing a lot of wear and tear on them. I am ordering some Kenda's as soon as the rest of the people on the team decide what they want.
I ordered a set of Spinergy Stealth Carbon PBO wheels. I also ordered a new frame, fork, grouppo, etc. Here is the thread on the
new bike. It started out as a "budget" build. Not really ending up that way though.
Do you ride with PolishPostal and Jeff's bike shop sometimes?
