We had a good ride. It was a smidge faster than ideal so I felt a bit like puking on a couple of the climbs. But with no rider left behind and a group of 16 with diverse goals, it was still a great ride.

After the ride, mrs datlas and I had a bento box lunch date at a local restaurant. We ate outside.

A few feet from us, a 40-ish year old woman and (her son?) 10-ish year old boy sat down. I heard the waitress ask “how are you today” and the woman answered loudly I am having a ******g bad day and I am about to lose my ******g job….” I didn’t say anything but felt like saying maybe her potty mouth in front of a young child is why she lost her effing job.

As you know, I have no problem with judicious use of profanity but on a downtown sidewalk with lots of people around and a young kid? I have a ******g problem with that.
