A couple weeks ago a set of pro rollers showed up for sale on a classifieds site here in Tokyo. These were the big berthas that are found in the training rooms in the Keirin tracks throughout Japan. They are made of stainless steel, and have really big drums, and racers ride on them at cadences faster than 130 rpm.

But they were too big, too heavy, and impossible to hide from my wife.
