Also, I've never seen another silver DeRosa panto'd Cinelli XR stem. Usually they are black.
When I got my black one, I took it to the anodizing shop here in Portland and asked them to dip it. It came out the vat shiny silver. After a lil' 0000 steel wool scrub, and some wax, it looks factory silver. Do you have a similar story?

Honestly, I don't know the backstory of the bike except the seller was young, 20s, and he said it was his dad's bike but he didn't really ride, so he was selling it. That being said, stem does look original to me as far as I can tell.
