I remember reading/hearing/something that the coda wheels are actually pretty strong. They're intended to be commuter type wheels. Seems to me that the guy trying to convince me I should buy the Coda was saying something about the rims actually being thicker than you'd expect (possibly by being double-walled?) which resulted in a stronger than "normal" rim. This was a year ago so I could be completely wrong but I think it was something like that.
