I read it - and all the other references I found. Seems both are good.
I also prefer riding outdoors, but sometimes the timing doesn't work out, or the weather. Also, I figure a trainer would be useful for some specific training.
For one thing, on a trainer, I can practice my peddle stroke one leg at a time. But another thing is that when I'm actually riding a bike, I find it harder to do specific training drills. My mind just wants me to get where I'm going in a hurry. For the same reason, I find it hard just to ride - I need to be going someplace. For me that means 12.5 miles to Waikiki, eat, maybe spend time at the beach, ride back. I do this typically 5 times a week (I have no car).
