1986 Cannondale SR400 build

This is my first build thread on Bikeforums, and it should be fun. I recently purchased three bikes from a Facebook Marketplace ad--this Cannondale, a '99 Cannondale SuperV, and a Specialized Hard Rock. I was able to replace inner tubes and do a few repairs on the Hard Rock and flip it quickly to cover my entire cost . This was in overall great condition, just kind of dirty. I think the seller was clearing the garage of some "old bikes" that had never been used much. This era did not have model names, but looking through catalog scans led me to believe it is an '86 SR400. The Suntour Cyclone group was pretty unique and it seems like other models and later years used all Shimano.

Here's the bike as I received it. I have the seat way too high in order to fit it in the repair stand clamp.

A good wash really made the metalic flake blue pop.

Here's the dropouts with the Cannondale employee initials in them.

This sold quite close to the Cannondale headquarters, then at some point traveled to Colorado.
