If I lived in a city I would seriously consider ditching the car. When you factor in the cost of a car even a fairly cheap reliable used car it's a fair amount of money, then there is maintenance and insurance and yes gas. Unfortunately I live on the edge of the boon docks nothing is close to me but gas stations and I don't want to live in the city. But the good news is I have miles and miles of roads I can ride with very lite traffic and the vehicles I do come in contact with are non threatening almost always. But car free is not an option for me the milk would be 98 degrees when I get it home in the summer.
