There is no way on Earth I would trust that post. Perhaps if the welder actually knew what he was doing, perhaps. But as seen here - not a chance. Nice frame though and that seat post is easy to toss or melt down or whatever. But using it is not a great plan, in my opinion. There are options, homemade to be sure, but options none the less...
