Bikes: An ever changing list of keepers, long term visitors and short term visitors

At the risk of hijacking’s the thread - I have a similar question about an 84 Bianchi that I own

I have an 84 Bianchi which has a Specialissima sticker. It is an Campione d’ Italia 84. However - nowhere in the catalogues that I’ve seen mention or reference the 84 designation - similar to the 28T question on Bianchi84 bike.

I was told a couple of things about my bike -
1. There was no “formal / specific” Specialissima offered in 1984, so any bike in their race category - Tipo down to Campione, was sub-branded as a Specialissima. The frames are the same, differences were in component groups.
2. 84 designation on mine references that it was an Olympic year here in the US and offered as such.

I like the explanation on the 28T Tipo on wheel size and tire type. I had a lower end 84 that was a clincher / 27” wheel.

If any of the experts can confirm anything about the 84 Campione, I would appreciate it.

thanks
