Tourist in MSN noted upthread, when the wheel magnet spun past the sensor. Also, they didn’t record anything other distance on an odometer and trip odometer, so nothing needed cleared unless the trip odo function was desired.
The Cateye Quick posted upthread works exactly that way, too.
