I too would prefer to use such a fuller coverage helmet especially with chin protection. Only I stick with something below 300gms since most of the full face ones I've seen are 1000gms+ and I don't think my neck can handle so much weight after 2+ hrs. But the design definitely offers a lot more protection than today's standard lightweight aero shape.

In any case they're all a huge improvement over the padded leather 'hairnets' I first wore in competition.
