Same here! Been wearing 'em for most of the last decade, never worn out a pair yet.

Curious. I work (part-time) effectively three full days a week, on my feet in a hardware store for sometimes more than nine hours a shift. A few months ago I noticed evidence of edema in my calves at the end of a shift.

I'm 76 and, as this can sometimes be a symptom of CHF (Congestive Heart Failure) that the cardiologist who placed two stents in one of my coronary arteries 19 years ago used to check for, I've switched to a sock product from DarnTough for work as well as bicycling that come up only just over my ankles:

I buy mine from REI but they should be available elsewhere as well.

Thankfully I've seen no recurrence of edema since I started wearing 'em a few weeks ago. They are pricey but so well made I'm glad they're available.
