I have been wondering about the differences for a long period of time. Thanks for the explanation!
What started my curiosity was the acquisition of a thin cup, only one. I then bought a couple of spindles with one of them having the wider race locations. Now no NDS thig cup.
Then I needed a spindle with the length that the wide spindle was. Got a NDS thin cup and problem solved.
Hording is so much fun when it pays off!

"Ant hill?" Is it the fillet feature of the spindle boss on the back side of the crank?
