The father (Tony Wilson, nice guy) of one of my best friends at school (Nigel) used to restore Vincents and was quite well known in the owners club. A walk around his workshop he built at home was a wonderful experience. I remember him building up an A-series Rapide racer made from Ginger Woods frame, and I just found my late friends brother (Nathan) talking about it.

Tony offered me a Vincent Comet for £1500 when I left school and started working. How I wish I had that kind of money then! It was just too much for me to afford at the time! This thread took me back 42 years and I'll raise a glass in memory to Tony and Nigel later, I still miss them both.
