the same thing happened to Gitanes in the late 80's. These French bikes started to look like they are trying to look cute, instead of the serious race machines that they were, under the paint and graphics.
Just my personal take on these later 80's French bikes, in general.
this was kind of just the entirety of the late 80s/early 90s though, no? Some hate it, some love it but the Miami vice vibe was strong across a lot of marques during that time.

Im generally ok with it and particularly like the bike in question, paint and all.
