I've bit the bullet and fitted a threadless quill adapter with a bar and stem from my parts bin. They're not the most attractive thing, but they work so well and allow me to use the cockpit I want for cheap.

Good to see an update on this one. I like all the different iterations it's been through. Let me know when you don't want it anymore. Be glad to come down to GA to get it. I'm from GA and get to Atlanta every once in awhile for a visit.
