I actually had TWO greyhounds. I still love greyhounds as a breed. Many of them are very unlike dogs in many ways.

Of the two greyhounds I had, the second was not high maintenance, and she was healthy and lived very long. The first was a flunkie. He was in one race and didn't even finish. The record said "stopped in backstretch" and he showed that behavior to us, too. The second was rated as an AA champion and had won a large number of races and raced to the old age of five. She was very trainable and only did "bad things" once and then never again after being reprimanded. We had her for nine years, and in all that time, she barked only eight times. She seemed absolutely telepathic.
