Bikes: A few. Quite a few.

And now I want a saddle that looks like that dog's head.

Well if I didn't want to sit on a dog's head before, I'm sure curious now.

Bikes: Bikes??? Thought this was social media?!?

We have had greyhounds - I'd rather have a bicycle.

We have had 3 rescues over the last 14 years. One had to go back. One was very temperamental. The other was fine, he was the only winner from the bunch - a 3 time winner. The 2 that stayed with us died at 8 and 9 years of age.

Each was much more high maintenance than any bicycle I've ever owned.

edit: Rescue - the only breed we have owned.

Andy, did you make that Captcha quiz?

I actually had TWO greyhounds. I still love greyhounds as a breed. Many of them are very unlike dogs in many ways.

Of the two greyhounds I had, the second was not high maintenance, and she was healthy and lived very long. The first was a flunkie. He was in one race and didn't even finish. The record said "stopped in backstretch" and he showed that behavior to us, too. The second was rated as an AA champion and had won a large number of races and raced to the old age of five. She was very trainable and only did "bad things" once and then never again after being reprimanded. We had her for nine years, and in all that time, she barked only eight times. She seemed absolutely telepathic.

Bikes: It's complicated.

Now I want to 3D print a greyhound head and put it on one of my bikes.

I've had three greyhounds, and I'm still active in the rescue group.
Yes, the head profile similarity to a bicycle saddle is well-known.

this discussion reminds me of Riv's Saluki.
Here's a page from Riv Reader #35....

In terms of marketing, you could do a lot worse than comparing your bike to a sleek, fast dog!

I'm envisioning something printed on a stretchy saddle cover...

If you have the means, please do, for the rest of us.

I love it that you know your dog's number of career barks. Dog owners who know that are members of an elite club for sure.

Fun fact - my vet (who has two whippets) rides a Riv Saluki to her clinic.
