I don't know about that. It's an extremely high end product in surprising high demand. And my LBS actually charge pretty okay.
I don't think I've met anyone who's had to wait any serious period of time for anything (unless you're after a custom). I'm sure some parts of the US probably have a Record glut but then we've got a population of 20 million vs your 298.4 million. BIG difference.
