Just the instant torque of an EV can get you in to trouble. My family vehicle can do 0-60 in about 4.2, IIRC. It's super fun, it makes matching speed & merging absolutely trivial, but yeah - you can step on the accelerator and find yourself going much faster than intended in a very short order.
