Back in the late 60s, my brother had a Simca 1000. French Chrysler product, similar to the Renault 10 - rear watercooled engine of <1L displacement and <40 bhp (the Renault was a bit more powerful). In the mountains on the PA Turnpike, it could JUST BARELY exceed the 45 mph minimum speed - flat out, foot to floor.
It looked like this, except Mike's was dark blue. We called it the Blue Lemon, because it gave him no end of trouble.

Pops bought a dark blue Simca in Italy when we lived there. I don't even think he kept it for more than a year before getting a Fiat 124 sedan AUTOMATICO! Mom said everyone in town would gather 'round the car in awe of teh automatic.
