Well, yeah, it could be worse, and I've got 6 or 7 weeks of progress under my belt. Still, that route at that pace would have been pretty casual for me.
Still, the positives from the ride: I felt less horrible after that than I did after a 30ish mile ride a couple weeks ago and my jersey and vest don't feel like an boa constrictor trying to squeeze the air from my lungs, anymore, so I must be dropping some of the excess weight.
