I'll one up you: 1980 Peugeot PXN-10E for free. I was helping get some used bikes cleaned up for a needy-kid-Christmas-giveaway a few years ago. From a big group of donated bikes the kid rideable bikes had been sorted from the adult only sizes. At the end of the day, after "refreshing" and safety testing about 100 bikes I went and looked at the pile of discards. Right in the middle of the stack I saw the Peugeot. Asked the guy running the gig if it was up for grabs. He said to take it. I didn't really know what I had at the time, but now I see I have something worth restoring (which is going on right now). Completely free.
