Though it does remind me of a Prairie Home Companion "ad" for a butcher specializing in meat coming only from animals that died of natural causes, for people who didn't want to go full vegetarian but also didn't want to kill anything.
Not sure who named him. Possibly the farm, not the original owners.
When I was riding across the country I stopped by a farm in Iowa as a teenager was hosing down her 4-H prize-winning young bull named Ace of Spades. (He was all black.). She told me she would probably have him slaughtered in a year or so. That made me sad.
