Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I have lived in Appalachia, with the exception of two years that I studied abroad, in the Ozarks.

I no longer lose socks, because I bought a pack of 20 pairs of white Hanes socks. My wife, OTOH, loves buying ONE pair of as many different styles as she can find (it seems), so her sock drawer is populated with a LOT of odd socks.

We got a new big box store in Merida FRESKO I bought a beautiful butternut squash the likes of which I haven't seen in 25 years. It's baking. They also have softball sized Haas avocados that have proven to be quite delicious. And lemons
Actual yellow lemons. Mexico.is a country of limes.
Another 104 degree day
We've become acclimated Not enough to be out in the sun, working. But to.be.under a fan in the workshop. I stopped my pea gravel moving activity at 8 this morning.

Nor I. Nothing has changed price wise. Or availability wise. I believe it is illegal to sell regular Pemex for more than $24/liter. I have seen one other brand break through that price point, and it surprised me.
