Depends on the state, apparently. Some require all passengers to be seated and belted while the vehicle is in motion - which frankly makes sense. It's not like the laws of physics are suspended inside a motorhome rolling down the highway at 70 mph! If the driver has to brake or maneuver suddenly, you'll still slam into the wall.

I only bought gas once since getting injured. The station attached to the grocery store has the lowest prices around plus I get a discount for buying groceries. When I filled up last time I got 40 cents off per gallon so I paid $5.29. It has gone up since then but it might have gone back down a little. Over $6.00 all over town.

It may be one of those insurance things where the company won't pay if you are injured while in violation of the law.

Reminds me when I was in my mid-20s and had a picnic lunch with a female coworker on a very secluded shore of a major Oregon river. All of a sudden, she climbed on top of me and the attack began. Future attacks were at her home with less chance of showing the bite marks.

On the plus side, this may mean fewer big trucks blasting through Arendtsville going from Peach Glen to Chambersburg on 234, although the Orrtanna plant is still open and 234 is still the best route from there to Peach Glen.
EDIT: Not to mention that The Ancestral Home was owned by ME Knouse, one of the founders and after whom the company was named. Knouse sold us the house at a discount in 1962 when he built a larger, more modern house across town (but you've been to Arendtsville, so you know how short a distance "across town" actually is - about 1/4 mile.)

Hey indyfabz I ran into Michelle B on today’s ride. We stopped and chatted for a minute. She is doing great but prefers slower rides than mine.

This weekend was supposed to be the Boulevard road race. Three 22 mile loops w 1,800' vertical per lap. But it got canceled... dang. Won it in 2023 in the 35+ race.
I was looking fwd to it, but for some reason this latest illness has kinda weighed on me, mentally. That coupled w the terrible two's hitting hard has just made things tough man. My training this season has been marred by constant upper respiratory infections. And a stomach bug in the middle for funsies. Hard times man. Time to take a step back and focus on riding for enjoyment and doing other outdoorsy things for a few months. Maybe I'll be healthier going into next season, we'll see.
Still racing the next few weekends (after this one). The final weekend is state champ/SCNCA TTT and I am looking forward to that. The Team Time Trial is such a cool/fun race. Not many races are cooperative. We will be visiting our fam in Rancho Cucamonga so maybe I will take after datlas and big john and ride around Baldy a bit on Sunday. I am thinking Glendora Mountain Road to Glendora Ridge Road then back down Baldy road. So not all the way to the top but that should be a solid, scenic loop

I have heard from fruitgrower friends back in Adams County that Knouse Foods is not doing so well. They closed the Musselman's plant in Biglerville a few years back. It'd be a shame for them to go belly up, but at least Dad's not here to see it. He basically worked for them from the founding in 1949 till he retired for good and all in 1996, Well, except for those 5 years in Rochester...

not sure, possibly bc the organizers/promoters (which have been a bit dynamic over the years) didn't get their stuff together. or the Sheriff bill was too high. maybe both

Just be glad they weren't processing tomatoes. I don't know why, but whenever they were processing tomatoes at Musselman's in Biglerville, the whole town smelled awful. Almost as bad as the nearby town with a papermill.

I was wondering about this during the local marathon. Do events that require traffic police always foot the bill for them? Or are there some events (e.g., deemed good for tourism) that the city provides them free?
