The other bonus is that it should be able to accommodate some off-road caliber tires should you want to try gravel riding. The Domane seems like more of a road oriented bike, which is fine (I have 6 old road bikes in my garage) but might not be the type of riding you are interested in doing.

And, yes, I know they call it an "all road" bike, but in bikes & motorcycles it always seems like a ride specifically for what you want to do is always the better option. Me, I'd use the FX2 for a year or two, see what kind of riding you like, and then go from there. Who knows, you might try gravel riding and love it and then be more of a Checkmate kind of person.

Or, you might take the FX2 on some light trails and decide you want to be a mountain biker and then there is whole other universe open for consideration. Whatever you do, have fun and stay safe!
