I call that “Paying the stupid tax”. Tm RSbob.

Speaking of which, we are having very inclement weather and decided to risk a quick 15 mile ride between showers, It was very lightly misting when I started on my non-fendered bike on dry roads, 10 minutes out the black clouds rolled in and a rain of biblical proportions came down. I brought a light rain jacket and a thankfully empty dog poop bag to place in my helmet - doesnt everyone? Then the lightning and thunder started. I made a quick U-turn and put on the afterburners and was hoping I wouldn’t have any issues with the standing water and huge puddles. I passed another idiot cyclist, bare armed and wearing a vest. I was doing 22 and passed him like he was tied to a post. Not that I was so fast but that he was so slow. I really felt for him considering how long he would be in the monsoon when I am already done.

When I finished, my feet were swimming in the shoes, my rain jacket, vest, jersey shorts were we completely soaked through. The only part of me completely dry was the top of my head under that poop bag. S____ Head for short.
