having said that, the carbon forks on my race bike survived a hefty prang on a pick-a-plank bridge today. they survived much to my surprise, i on the other hand did not. broken collarbone and dislocated pinky (40deg off center, very creepy!!). so i guess the road season is a write off even before it starts. back to crit and track training once i'm mended. yay, no more hills

Sorry to hear it, hope you mend up quick and well.

I have found (depending how bad???) that a broken collarbone is around 3-4 weeks to a ride on the road again and about 2 weeks more until you forget it happened ( adding in variables for bmx or mountain biking). Best of luck.
