Ah, I don't think so, Peugeots actually handle nicely and people don't point at you and call you a nob-head.
However, if they start breaking down, bin them. I had a 605 V6 that the ignition module failed in and it cost me megabucks to get it running again.
One of my mates in Sydney is pathologically opposed to Volvos and their drivers - something of a hangover from 80s motoring in the UK and Oz when Volvos were the then equivalent of today's St Ives/Toorak/Putney tractors (aka the dreaded 4WD.) He came in to work in Sydney one morning laughing because he saw some banker type suited up on a summer's morning in the Volvo, windows up, AC on and smoking a pipe. The epitomy of a #$*T in his opinion.
