Maybe so.......what I've noticed is that bikes that are of decent quality, say an old Trek mtb, quality welded tubing, etc., don't bring any more than something like that old Bianchi. Functionally, the Treks would be much better bikes, better components, etc......I don't know, maybe give e-bay a try. The problem I run into with bikes on e-bay in my price range is the darned shipping, which is often close to as much as the purchase price I'm willing to pay-
