Well, I spoke to my mate who's up to speed with all this crap, so we checked out whirlpool.net.au or whatever and decided to go with Exetel. It's 49 bucks a month for 512/128, 8gb of data, excess is ramped and costed out at 3 bucks a gig thereafter. It's a pretty bare bones service, but it's so easy to set up (he says now) I don't know why I didn't do it sooner. *crosses fingers*
We were going to get a modem/router seperately, but ended up just buying a NetComm NB5Plus4 modem/router off Exetel as part of the package. Think it was only 105 bucks or something. Got 4 ethernet ports so you can attach as many computers as you like, and Exetel doesn't smack your bum for doing so.
