+1! anyway, he's getting at the improper colloquial use of the double negative there, it seems. i'll agree about the grammatical incorrectness of that, though i don't have much problem with colloquialisms. however, i do defend the double negative for certain connotations. it sort of softens and understates things, sometimes as a matter of courtesy, or for humor, or for a sort of self-efacing general demeanor. "i'll take something" at a buffet line is much more assertive and even aggressive than a wry utterance of "oh, i won't take nothing".
