I was sorta pacing a Webcor guy up Kennedy Road (not sure of the grade, perhaps 7-8% is my uninformed guess, but he was keeping up with me on a mountain bike... frustrating...) and on the last quarter mile the road flattens out a little bit, so I led him out on a sprint. We picked it up from 7 to 18 mph and right before I meet up with the rest of my shop ride group, I let him get away.
Later at the bike shop, I'm talking to a couple Cat 2s who joke that Webcor are just a big buncha tools. I say, ''If you guys had only told me they were all tools beforehand, I wouldn't have let him get away.'' To which they say, ''Oh, don't say that. Not all of them are tools.''
''Just most of 'em.''
