I also leave my house at 6 to arrive at work at 7, but I shower and eat at home and pack a snack and lunch, so I just change in the washroom at work. I know most people probably immediately think I smell for the whole day, but I perspire very little and a Thai deodorant stone seems to keep all the BO away. As far as productivity goes, I actually feel less productive when I don't ride. I've really become accustomed to that "thinking time" before and after work every day and I feel, for lack of a better word, ******** when I don't get that. Riding to and from work helps me maintain focus throughout the day and if I feel like I need an extra fix, I head out for a quic ride or a run at noon (and I do shower after that!). Maybe part of the issue is your job? Maybe you need to look for something more challenging, something that will help you stay less distracted?
