Trackstanding Observation (or, viva le clipless!)...

Ok, so, I was riding my fixie on clips-n-straps. My roadie, on the other hand, has always had the super cool Shimano Ultegra SPD-SL clipless pedals (PD-6610). This weekend, I picked up a pair of the cheaper Shimano SPD-SL (PD-540) clipless pedals for my fixie.

Now it might just be my familiarity with my shoes and the way they fit the pedal -- maybe a totally mental thing -- or it might be a better connection to the drivetrain, but all of a sudden I can trackstand so much better! I'm still no trackstanding fool (like, I can't natty fab yet) but I'll be damned if I wasn't trackstanding for minutes at a time last night.

Tonight I'm giving the new pedals a run from Anaheim Stadium to HB and back via the SART.
