blacksac - the Mont is apparantly good, but its a hella loooonnngggg course and gets longer every year. add to that the fact that its normally freezing cold and more often than not rains. go to www.pixelpics.com.au and get a look at some pics from last year. friend of mine was doing maint for the cannondale team and he said it was just abysmal. also have to be on the lookout for bike theives, a few bikes went missing last year. most arent the sort of bikes that you would consider high profile stealability either( like really, who steals an NRS??) which points to non bikers. other than all that im sure its a great race www.26inches.com IIRC has a multi page thread on the last years event.

general consensus seems to point to the WSMTB 24 hour at dargle as being a better bang for your buck race ( as long as you can handle listening to stu plant crap on for that long...
