RHCP recorded direct to tape for the latest album, always have. You am i also record direct to tape as well. im sure there not the only ones, just the ones i know of. pro tools is popular cause it allows you to take out any "belmishes" read: mistakes, laziness, lack of talent. IMHO music should be there warts and all. no 1 hate is live album that have been touched up. im looking at you Kiss, Guns N Roses etc. is it live, or is it simulated live?

mmmm tape. i have a 4 track reel to reel so yes i can lament at the lack of availibility of tape, but it is out there.
