This whole must have HID thing is out of control, dont get me wrong I would love a set but at a grand a pop forget it. I use the vision sticks as well, they are way better than the crappy old thing I used to use back home. I reckon it's cheating anyway, if you are night riding shouldnt it at least be semi-dark, using HID is like having the sun at your back!.
Get yer finger out HD....
I use a 20W Halogen atm and i thought it was great until i went to a race and seen what HID is like. Sun on your back.. Yes, I have to agree. I passed guys with HID during races and I can't even see the beam of my 20W. And their HID's are only 10-12W.
I'm going to upgrade pretty soon. A mate is getting a set of aussie made ones for AU$400. If there good I'll probably shell out for the same.

Check out the link on the first page to the light comparison page. Those photos are a pretty good and real guide of the lights they are testing.
Another place which is slightly cheaper is

Trail-Tech lights on this site are pretty cheap. If you actually check the trail-tech site they are twice the price.
