ok well the entries to lane cove national park that i know of on my side of the sticks are 1) epping - 2 entries : 1 on Derby Street ( which has single track , this is the one i take on my way to work) and one further down on Boundary rd, which is straight onto fire trail. either of these can take you to pennant hills up a nice climb, or you can head back towards browns water hole / yanko road north ryde. ive never been able to work out which exit is which on the north ryde side as ive never exited there.

you could make a pretty good ride out of this. just beware of the cranky magpie in spring whose taken chunks out of my helmet the past couple of years. hes a mean bastid who takes great pleasure at hamering you ( hit my hard enough to knock me off once) when going up hill!

otherwise, you could ride down epping road to epping then hit the trail back from there to north ryde, i come out at marsfield / browns water hole and the whole shebang takes a tad over 1/2 hour in one direction.
