Yeah I know It is a minimum of $1000cdn a month but more like $1500 with no worries; but the $7000 was so close that I just threw out my next dream trip . On the topic of airfare, it is down to $1500 in January (I flew to New Zealand for $1500 ) and $1000 in May to Australia from Vancouver and there are closer places to go to; but I never count the airfare in the trip budget -that is a fixed cost

Vancouver to Chili would be a good trip but I think I would start in Mexico.
