The wife's off to the USA next weekend and the kids are off to the in-laws. YEHAW!

Anyhow, the wife's feeling a bit guilty for leaving me here while she goes off for work and the subject of "what can I get you when I'm in the State" came up last night. My first idea was a new set of cool wheels...bubow, she ain't prepared to drag wheels back. I've got all the riding gear I need so they'res nothing I need there. So I'm thinking a new set of pedals might be just the ticket. Yehay, she says I have a budget of $350. So I have Shimano riding shoes and was thinking of getting some LOOK pedals.

My first question is, are LOOK pedals compatible with Shimano shoes? My second questions is, are there any recommendations for pedals I should be using (other than LOOK) that will fit in my budget?
