Bikes: 1 road bike (simple, light), 1 TT bike (could be more aero, could be lighter), 1 all-weather commuter and winter bike, 1 Monark 828E ergometer indoor bike

I use the sidewalk for about 40 ft along my commute. It's because a short stretch of bike lane I use ends in a sidewalk that then turns. To avoid having to drive out into a street with traffic crossing to turn right, I follow the sidewalk to turn.
